The Florida Flywheelers Show
We visited the Florida Flywheelers show in mid-January and had a really good time. The show is a great place to spend the day (on a golf cart because the grounds are huge) looking at antique tractors and cars. There's an antique village and several working steam engines. Twice a day you can watch a parade of the old cars and tractors. Along the way we stopped in Ft. Meade so I could photograph the beautiful old live oak trees filled with Spanish moss. Here is one of my photos from the day and you can see more on my web site -- just follow the link.

Farming in the 50's
Dear family and friends,
I am just learning how to write a blog, so bear with me. I have attached two old photos from my father. Dad gave me the negatives to scan a few months ago and I spent some time cleaning up the images. One photo is of my father and his father shoveling snow in our private lane that leads to the two old farm houses on the farm south of Grand Ridge, Illinois. The other photo is my dad, his cousin, and my grandfather making hay.
I just posted some photos of antique tractors and cars taken at the Florida Flywheelers show near Ft. Meade, FL. In the photo gallery are some photos of the live oak trees filled with Spanish moss, too.
Enjoy!
Nancy
